Obtain a copy of the play from any library or bookseller. Movie productions include: 1929-Pickford and Fairbanks (63 minutes, with lots of text missing), 1967-Taylor and Burton, directed by Franco Ziffirelli (122 minutes) and 1980-BBC production with John Cleese as Petruchio (127 minutes). These are available from public libraries, Netflix, Blockbuster, etc.
George Moore is emeritus professor of history and humanities at SJSU. He chaired the history department for many years and has taught for OLLI@SJSU since the beginning. His Ph.D. is from UC Berkeley.
